Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Journey Home for Men
Journey Home Recovery Living for Men has two homes: one located in New Haven, CT, for a more urban experience, and the other along the shoreline in quiet, wooded Killingworth, and requires a car for transportation.
The New Haven home, located in the heart of the city, offers a large kitchen, dining room, laundry room, living room, and single and double bedrooms. The Killingworth home sits on three acres of quiet wooded property, with three kitchens, two dining areas, a laundry room, and a fireplace.
The homes have experienced and professionally qualified house managers on the premises to check in with and encourage Journey Home members throughout their recovery.
While we are not a treatment facility, we offer the environment our residents need to build sobriety and create happy, joyous, and free lives. For residents who require additional supports and services, many leading private psychiatrists, psychologists, and other licensed mental health professionals specialize in the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders and can be found in the New Haven area. Yale-St Raphael’s Hospitals, Hill Health Center, Central Valley Hospital, and Rushford Center, to name a few, offer intensive outpatient programs (IOP), outpatient programs (OP), relapse prevention groups, and medication management.
Journey Home for Women
Journey Home Recovery Living for Women is also located in Killingworth, and offers a large, open eat-in kitchen, laundry room, multiple living rooms, library, deck, and mature gardens.
Our home has an experienced and professionally qualified house manager on the premises to check in with and encourage Journey Home members throughout their recovery.
