What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Personal and Professional Development

Design to help clients to regain control of their lives with assistance from the organization case managers to navigate them, Clients are offered opportunities to apply for financial resources but also are taught to not be dependent on these resources. They are assisted with applying for medicaid and scheduling medication management which is outsource and counseling which is in house. Any clients in need of legal system assistants are connected with legal aid or attorneys providing pro-bono services. Staff will also assistant in coordination of transportation to get to various appointments.

Counseling a support service available from license staff and medication management will be administered through a partnering organization. Clients receive in house one on one counseling and group counseling.

Our career preparation program provide participants of Second Chance Living PMI with soft skills training (communication skills, leadership skills, ability to work in a team, strong work ethics etc...). This program also includes resume writing, interviewing skills, business etiquette, time management, actual work experience and job placement services all designed to increase employability of participants.

Upon Completion of Job Readiness Program the staff of Second Chance Living connect participant with employers with availabilities that align with the skill set and desires of the participant showing her how to integrate the skills learned in an actual job setting.

Participants are taught financial literacy which includes the basics of budgeting, impact of interest, savings, credit/debt maintenance and ways to live with means of the income generated from their places of employment. upon being placed on a job, staff will assist client in opening a bank account to maintain money.
