Mission

At Middle Ground we strive to not only offer intervention through emergency treatment of severe malnutrition, but also offer opportunities for families to provide for their children once they return home, through sustainability and education groups. We believe that children have the right to grow up in their families, and that families have the right to provide their children’s basic needs through their own resources.

Malnutrition Services

Our inpatient malnutrition center and outpatient service programs exists to provide temporary care for children who are affected by severe acute malnutrition. Children who meet the standards of severe acute malnutrition are treated by qualified medical staff following the Plumpy Nut treatment plan. They are also treated for general health concerns that are prevalent in children with malnutrition. During their time in the recovery center, the caregivers of our patients receive in-depth health education, mental health and social work services to enable them to better care for their children at home.
