What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
KICS (Kigali International Community School)
A KICS education establishes and prepares young people to transform their community, their country and the world. For more of this transformation, Kigali International Community School (KICS) needs a campus that is equipped to serve this vision. The land has been purchased, the design is taking shape, and now it’s time to fund the new Learning Landscape and Centers of Excellence, which will allow KICS to have an extraordinary national and international impact. This is Our School, it belongs to all of us, and together we can make this vision a reality
Pakistan
What is at stake in Pakistan? Simply put, it is freedom or bondage. Through transformative education, children who are forced into labor can be free to study, grow, and secure a better future for themselves.
Pakistan is a primarily Muslim country with the less than 2% of Christians working as street cleaners or brick makers. These families work for very low wages and often they have to take out loans that lead to generations of bonded labor to pay them off. As a result, the children of these families are often not given opportunities to study due to the bondage.
We will continue partnering with a local Pakistani educator making a way for their students to enroll in university. For these students to make it to college means they have an opportunity to receive a degree, break the cycle of bonded labor, and serve their community. We will continue to grow the college scholarship program and work with our educational partner on the ground to support three schools serving 700 students.
Sudan
Conflict, instability, and underdevelopment with minimal resources have inhibited the education sector in Sudan. The lack of a comprehensive and inclusive education in Sudan has led to the country recording the largest number of out-of-school children in the Mid-North African region of the continent. Providing a safe learning environment for children in which they can receive a quality education will position them for a brighter future.
The need to train teachers and volunteers in Sudan is central to averting the generational impact of war on children. We purpose to leverage expertise within the education field through a locally contextualized approach to providing a transformative educational experience that is marked by excellence and mentorship.
Global Educators Gathering
G.E.G. is a group of educators brought together from around the world who share a common goal with B2THEWORLD — to provide a transformative educational experience for children and families in countries that are recovering from war.
We bring school leaders from around the world together to learn, collaborate, and navigate the challenges that they face in their various school settings. Aside from the training and insight from Dr. Thomas and other B2THEWORLD staff, we bring in experienced facilitators to lead impactful sessions with an emphasis on useful tips and knowledge that can be put into practice by the attendees of the gathering.
Project Global
While we often display pictures of and information about work we do around the world, but sometimes we serve in places where sharing information can put our workers and beneficiaries in danger. We refer to these places as Project Global countries.
War, poverty, and corruption have held people down. Access to sufficient food, education, or safety have been stolen from innocent people. The suffering could be the result of immediate or generational impacts of war.
Our Project Global allows us to take meaningful steps to building relationships, identifying partners and serving students and families in some of the hardest hit areas around the world. We do so carefully and intentionally to help all people.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
B2THEWORLD is a global partnership of Christians that foster transformative education in countries recovering from war.
Our vision: Fullness of life for the future of every child impacted by war.
Our mission: By leveraging the power of education, we combat the generational impacts of war.
Children are the center of our work. War has a devastating impact on a child. We are combatting the long-term impacts of war on children with the weapon of transformative education. B2THEWORLD serves all children and desires to make education possible for every child.
We approach our vision and mission with a commitment to the following values:
• Faithful Presence. We embody excellence for the long haul.
• Human Flourishing. We fight for each child’s right to thrive, not just survive.
• Spiritual Transformation. We care for the soul of each child in the ways of Jesus.
• Global Partnerships. We learn from the expertise of our global community.
• Transformative Education. We develop future leaders of communities and countries.
Our programs revolve around the child and contextually solve local challenges that arise from the generational impacts of war in each location.
• Train - We leverage expertise within the education field to equip others.
• Educate - We provide a transformative educational experience that is marked by excellence and mentorship.
• Advocate – We bring awareness to the post-war injustices that threaten a child’s education and future.
