Programs and results
What we aim to solve
50,000 nonprofits in the U.S. alone fail each year, closing opportunities to address important issues in their communities. Why? In addition to a general lack of funding opportunities, 44% lack a strategic plan, 77% lack a leadership training program, and in general, many nonprofits have difficulties in generating awareness and support for their cause.

Free Social Media Marketing
We tell your story via our social media channels and partners and create awareness for your fundraising needs. We do this to connect you with donors, supporters, collaborators, and volunteers who might be able to help.
Nonprofit Directory
By listing in our nonprofit directory, our site utilizes built-in search engine optimization (SEO) tools to help increase your online visibility and google ranking. Attract more potential donors through this great feature.
Nonprofit Educational Courses
The AGIF has collaborated with nonprofit experts to provide an array of growing course material. Subjects covered range from strategic planning, to fundraising, to board governance and everything in between. Many of our courses are free to take for our members and can support your organization in filling knowledge gaps, or improving organizational function for sustained development.
We also have a library of experts that are able to teach live on-site, or via live webinars to facilitate questions and guidance on a broad range of topics.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our organizational goals are to:
1. Provide a directory where donors and supporters can find nonprofits addressing issues they are passionate about and can get the information they need,
2. Assist our nonprofit members in gaining visibility through our SEO tools and social media assistance program, helping smaller nonprofits to maintain a consistent social media presence to generate awareness
3. Provide an array of educational materials, resources, and funding opportunities to support our nonprofit members with long-term sustainable solutions and practices, so our communities can continue to benefit from their works.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We have created a robust directory and community website (https://theagif.org/landing) where nonprofits can list their organization with detailed information. Here they can provide their location, mission, vision, website links, social media channels, and documents to further illustrate their efforts. Our directory has built-in SEO tools to boost online visibility for our members and increase their google search rankings.
Upon listing in our directory, our paying members (based on annual operating budgets, ranges from $157/year and up) will be automatically enrolled in our social media assistance program. Our team will create a year-long, professional customized campaign, disseminated on three platforms - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - twice per week. Through these efforts, we support our members in sustaining a consistent online presence and gain the attention of new supporters.
AGIF members will also gain access to our growing library of free and paid educational materials on a broad range of nonprofit topics (from fundraising to board governance and everything in between), discounted affiliate software, services, and resources, as well as additional fundraising opportunities.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Through our website, we are capable of increasing awareness of our member nonprofits. This is done through built-in SEO functions within our directory to boost google search rankings of members, increased online presence and awareness through our social media assistance program, and training and developing nonprofits for increased sustainability and internal efficacy through our education portal.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
To date we have built an extraordinary platform capable of generating increased awareness and support for our members. We are currently serving 80 nonprofits from around the world and generating social media content in support of their missions. Four of our member organizations have gained new donors through efforts to increase their visibility, and we continue to grow our audience on each of our social media platforms.

- We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
- We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
- We analyze disaggregated data and root causes of race disparities that impact the organization's programs, portfolios, and the populations served.
- We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We use a vetting process to identify vendors and partners that share our commitment to race equity.
- We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We measure and then disaggregate job satisfaction and retention data by race, function, level, and/or team.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
