What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The Double Good Kids Foundation was established in 2017 with the mission to serve children with special needs so that they can equitably experience athletic, educational and extracurricular experiences. Over the past 5 years, Double Good has collaborated with like-minded and committed organizations to provide equipment, volunteers, financial resources and, of course our award-winning popcorn, that support children nationwide facing physical, neurological and social barriers. Today, Double Good is taking on more ownership of the Foundations mission and has created a proprietary event to serve children with special needs on a grander scale. We've designed a joy-filled day of hands-on activities for all abilities. Double Good Days premiered on a warm and sunny October 1, 2023 at the Kohl Children's Museum. We plan to host this event annually in Chicago, while expanding to other locations every year.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Double Good Kids Foundation wishes to tilt the playing field for children with special needs to allow them and their families a day of joy-filled, interactive and educational activities designed for all abilities.

The Double Good Kids Foundation is committed to hosting a proprietary annual event to bring joy, learning and interactive experiences to children with special needs and their families. The day's programming includes a variety of activities ranging from music to adaptive sports to art to science, for all abilities to observe, learn and participate.

The Double Good Kids Foundation plans to use its financial resources funded by the sale of Double Good popcorn, its people and its partners to develop and host the Double Good Days annual event. Our goals are ambitious and we plan to expand into new locations every year to increase the impact on children everywhere.

The first ever Double Good Days was hosted on October 1, 2023 and served over 550 children and their families.
