Bringing back the brides of Christ

aka RABS International Ministries   |   ADA, MI   |  http://run-away-brides-ministries.com/

Mission

Reaching into remote areas with our national missionaries in Uganda, we help feed, educate, and clothe desperate children and establish and provide for village-wide farming projects. In East Africa, we train urban and village Christians how to find and evangelize the lost and the runaway brides of Jesus Christ letting them know Jesus, the bridegroom of the Church, loves them and desires reconciliation to allow the fulness of His Joy to be their portion. Alongside the Bible we use the RABS Bible Study which is twelve lessons for Church Leadership and their congregations. This Bible Study walks them through Scriptures that call and teach us how to be ministers of reconciliation. "Reconciled Bridal Relationships" is used in small groups to help Christians nuture healthy relationships.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

5 Remote-Village Program

Providing primary and secondary education for boys and girls in remote villages where otherwise they would not receive basic education.
In response to the least educated population in the rural wilderness areas of Uganda--females. We are providing the funding for female adolescents from the five remote villages to attend two-year-programs at Vocational Boarding Schools in Uganda.
Establishing and monitoring village farming projects. We provide the seeds and the farming tools and proper farming education including help in preventing monkeys and elephants from destroying their crops.
We have planted churches providing Bibles and Christian educational materials in the Karamojong language to disciple newly placed leadership and the saints in each remote village.

Population(s) Served

We focus on the Christian clergy population of the camps. By using RABS national missionaries, we encourage and strengthen camp pastors and laymen spiritually through educational conferences inside refugee camps in Uganda, Kenya, and DRC. We partner in camp-wide-Christian-crusades to bring the unsaved into the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. con
Secondarily, we are meeting with the camps' local officials on how to establish an economical business-relationship between the refugee camps in Uganda and RABS mission's Milling Project in Uganda. We are hopeful we can provide the refugee camps Maize Flour be it the flour or the actual milling of flour.

Population(s) Served

We, as ambassadors of Jesus Christ the bridegroom of the Church, go out looking for those who have said, "Yes," to Jesus but have run away from Him and/or the Church. We train other Christian pastors and leaders and congregations on why and how to go out looking for the runaway brides of Christ and how to evangelize them. We use the Bible and the Run Away Brides Bible Study; a twelve-lesson Bible study encapsulating the real need to bring people back into a loving relationship with Jesus and His Church.
Using the RABS “Reconciled Bridal Relationship Handbook,” we also teach congregations in small Bible study settings how to receive the returning prodigals and how to attend to the newly reconciled brides of Christ spiritual and emotional needs so they can build and foster healthy relationships within their Christian Communities and families and circle of friends.
