What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

California Service Dog Academy is aiming to address the need for service animals in the affected civilian population. Historically, this group has not had ample support to receive low/no-cost service animals from organizations without the ability to pay largely out of pocket expenses. Thus, making it difficult for this underserved group to receive service animals.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

California Service Dog Academy is looking to help alleviate the financial burdens of those in the civilian population by expanding our web presence and implement tools that will allow for crowdsourcing specifically for the affected individual. This will allow the general public to donate to the cause of various members of the community that are in need of service animals. The general hope is that by centralizing this sourcing CSDA will be able to effectively provide these services to the client in need.

California Service Dog Academy is looking to create cross campaigns for these individuals that are in need and establish on-going funding and support for these members of the affected civilian groups. By doing this, CSDA will be able to assist with the ongoing expenses and help those in need when financial assistance is required.

California Service Dog Academy has developed a plan to achieve this. This was done through 1) Policy Development, 2) Tools Research, 3) Internal Training, 4) Tools Selection, 5) Tools Implementation.

As of 2021, California Service Dog Academy has rolled out this plan and gone live with our new site that will allow for focused donations to support the community and their needs.
