Mission

Prison Liberation Collective (PLC) is a not-for-profit organization based in Chicago that focuses on studying and treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other after-effects of long-term solitary confinement; educating the broader public on matters related to solitary confinement and mass incarceration; connecting solitary confinement torture survivors with other survivors, family members, loved ones and allies outside of prison to forge a national movement against solitary confinement and mass incarceration; and creating a world where the youth have a future and are not caught up in street violence against each other or others. We also intend to develop a nationwide print journal (with online presence) highlight the writing of those incarcerated and formerly incarcerated.
