What we aim to solve
Many families simply do not have the means to get their precious dog the medical treatment they need when he or she is diagnosed with cancer. Often times, families are forced to put a price on their dog's life and many make the choice to say goodbye to their loyal companion simply due to monetary constraints.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Dogslife's directors, staff, grant recipients, donors, volunteers and partners support our mission of removing the burden of having to make the impossible determination of the value of a dog's life who has been diagnosed with cancer by providing grants to dogs and their families for necessary cancer-specific treatment when it could not otherwise be afforded.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. Raise awareness of the high rate at which dogs are diagnosed with canine cancer, the high cost associated with treatment, and the choices many families are forced to make due to monetary constraints.
2. Fund the grants necessary to carry out our mission, by seeking donations and contributions from broad and diverse sources of revenue and resources.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
1. Donors – dogslife receives no government funding and relies on donations to fund our operations. We have a compassionate base of private and corporate donors that provide the financial support we need as a 501c3 organization.
2. Volunteers – We have a dedicated team of volunteers who give their time and talent to provide the support needed to accomplish our mission.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In 2018, we were successful in raising funds, raising over $130,000 in our first year (was a partial year). We have awarded over $20,000 in grants for the cancer related treatment of three dogs and have budgeted to award grants to 10-12 dogs in FY19.
