What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Always Mothers Luncheon
Our annual event is held in May, the Saturday of the weekend prior to Mother's Day. The annual event is called Always Mothers Luncheon; which is more celebratory about the theme and message and less about being a mom. We intentionally do this because of the emotional aspect for those that may or may not have their moms or their children.
F.I.R.E.
Friends In Reach Everyday
An adult program that teaches the fundamentals of how edification, empowerment, learning, living and support are the groundwork to great friendships.
F.L.A.M.E.S.
Friends Learning Applicable Meaningful Evidence of Sisterhood
An informational program that assists in teaching young tweens/teen girls how to navigate female relationships ... it's more than sugar, spice and all things nice; it's FLAMES!
Journey To Inner Peace
A Motivating Love's support group.
We believe that each and every day starts with what and how we are thinking. In today’s world there are a lot of distractions and channels of communication influencing our lives, making clarity of thought challenging. We believe that establishing inner peace will nourish the way we approach and walk through a day.
❤ All of our events and programs are a safe place! ❤

- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
