Mission

Our mission is to facilitate the growth of a peer-learning community that comprises the private and public sectors to use multidimensional measurement to tackle poverty among their people in a way that is collaborative, robust, rigorous, and independently evaluated.

Business Multidimensional Poverty Index

Since 2017, Horizonte Positivo, a Costa Rican business association, has pioneered the development of the bMPI with over 40 companies and shown it to be both effective and inspiring for employees and managers.



To date, 11,031 households have been interviewed, finding that 14.1% of households live in multidimensional poverty.



Initiatives like financial education, entrepreneur courses, childcare support, education programs, access to medical attention, housing solutions, among others are being implemented by companies.

Population(s) Served

Wise Responder Action Kit (WiRe) is a set of tools that allows the company to understand the level of multidimensional wellbeing of its employees families, and to manage programs that improve their quality of life. We offer an integral service that quantifies and maximizes the social impact of the company’s actions. Based on an in-depth analysis of the data and on the planning of the social strategy of the company, we promote better targeting and efficient investment of resources.
