What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

In the last decade $355 billion in wealth was created by the top 10 IPOs alone, yet 92% of that wealth went to men, and largely white men. This shouldn’t surprise us since: 88% of VC funds go to all male founding team; 68% of US VC firms have no women and non-binary partner. Technology prides itself on being visionary, and touches virtually every aspect of our lives, yet the wealth and power of who and what gets funded is held by a small segment of the population. There is a very effective flywheel of white men funding white men who create wealth and predominantly reinvest it in people who resemble themselves. This is locking in wealth for a small segment of the population.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our mission is to accelerate the success of women and non-binary founders, funders and operators to build a more prosperous, equitable future. We do this by 1) leveraging our growing influential community to rewire the industry from the inside and drive cultural change that moves beyond DEI as checkboxes and makes DEI synonymous with success; and 2) seeding a new flywheel where women, including underrepresented women, and non-binary individuals are equally represented in the funding, founding, and scaling of venture backed start-ups. Doing so will unlock over $4.4T in value attributed to the economic value of diversity and redistribute wealth by diversifying the cap table.

All Raise has two goals:
(1) Increase from 11% to 23% the percentage of venture capital going to early stage companies with women or non-binary founders by 2030, which is double the current growth rate of .6% to 1%; and
(2) double from 9% to 18% the percentage of women and non-binary decision makers (e.g. checkwriters) at US tech venture firms with >$25M AUM from 2018 to 2028.

All Raise Strategies to Change This include:
-Leverage and grow All Raise’s community of 1100+ influential funders and 1450+ iconic founders to provide access, guidance, and support to accelerate the journey of women and non-binary investors, founders, and operators in the US.
-Research the systemic barriers and obstacles that hold back women and non-binary individuals in tech, especially women of color, from accessing the careers, capital, and networks to succeed.
-Use the data to design and execute programs to overcome these barriers, hold the industry accountable and measure forward progress.
-Continue deploying a slate of proven programs that accelerates diverse, equitable, and inclusive growth for women and non-binary founders, funders and operators.
-Develop a talent network that exposes local talent to the broader US tech ecosystem and increases visibility of the local ecosystem in order to seed a new flywheel in the funding, founding and scaling of tech.

In 2017, 35 senior women and non-binary investors led by Aileen Lee, noted venture capitalist, had a vision to make
technology more accessible, equitable, and diverse with a specific focus on gender. In 2018, these women and non-binary investors sparked a grassroots call to action that evolved into a movement that became the startup
non-profit organization All Raise. Today, All Raise includes a growing community of entrepreneurs, venture
capitalists, operators and allies from across the country committed to creating a new version of visionary in
tech, one where women can participate equally in the funding, founding and scaling of start-ups as well as
the creation of financial wealth.
