The Lead In

The Lead In was The Guild Dance Company's inaugural performance of contemporary work premiering in October 2018.

Population(s) Served

The Guild Dance Company retells and shares the story of the Tai Dam people and immigrating from Laos to the US in a time of war. Real stories by the family of founder Alex Ung, premiering in May 2019.

A collection of works created by the Guild Dance Company and members featuring awe-inspiring creations from contemporary ballet, to acro-modern, urban hip hop, and musical theater, with five world premiere pieces and four Guild premiere pieces, debuting in October 2019.

The Guild Dance Company, in collaboration with the Tudor Choir, presents el Camino, a new dance & music production inspired by the experiences of pilgrims traveling the legendary Camino de Santiago. With choreography by Alex Ung and music ranging from solemn chant to Renaissance motets and contemporary works by Arvo Pärt and Eric Whitacre, el Camino celebrates the human experience spanning centuries of journeys on the Spanish trail to Santiago de Compostela. To be performed in 2021 at The Opera Center.
