Button & Zipper is aiming to be recognized as the coat drive partner for various organizations that are currently serving these individuals in need.

Our strategies in making this happen involved community buy-in from collection partners, executing a logistics plan of action, and maintaining a high level of quality to ensure our recipient partners can rely on us to help fulfill their needs.

Our capabilities for doing this includes building strong relationships with our collection partners, maintaining a logistics plan of action, including sufficient storage and ensure we understand the ongoing needs of our recipient partners.

We know we are making progress by receiving data and requests and working closely with our collection partners to continue fulfilling the needs of our recipient partners.

Over the past five seasons, we have collected and distributed over 17,000 coats and jackets to these individuals in need. We will continue our collection efforts and make necessary changes to become more efficient.

Organizational Demographics

In order to support nonprofits and gain valuable insight for the sector, GuideStar worked with D5—a five-year initiative to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in philanthropy—in creating a questionnaire. This section is a voluntary questionnaire that empowers organizations to share information on the demographics of who works in and leads organizations. To protect the identity of individuals, we do not display sexual orientation or disability information for organizations with fewer than 15 staff. Any values displayed in this section are percentages of the total number of individuals in each category (e.g. 20% of all Board members for X organization are female).
