IT Partnership For WNC, Inc.
Bringing professional IT services to the non-profit community
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Small regional nonprofits struggle to meet the needs of their clients. Through lack of funding, local support, or the poverty of the region in general, their resources are stretched thin. Reduced funding, fewer grant opportunities, less local, State and Federal program funding and fewer donations and local support are driving the nonprofits to reduce their impact and mission goals in the communities they serve. They cannot afford to put in the time, energy and resources they need to improve their potential outcomes.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
If we are able to reduce the expenses involved in managing these nonprofit IT infrastructures, provide them with free alternatives to basic IT necessities, and give them the support and services they need for free or low cost, they can direct their resources to their mission rather than expenses. We also look to provide local residents the opportunity to improve their economic situation by providing higher paying IT jobs both in our own service and in service to other nonprofits. We want to improve the outlook for local area residents who want to pursue a job in the IT field while remaining in their current location. We also want to provide opportunities to area residents with limited abilities to work outside of the home. Through partnerships with local, State and Federal programs, we are working together.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We're actively seeking partnerships within the IT industry sector with major corporations, vendors and some of our other resources to bring current technologies, thinking and management to these small regional nonprofits. We want to be a one source for all their IT needs, support services, training and staffing. We're partnering with local and State government agencies to bring people and programs together to benefit everyone while addressing the needs of all. We will be partnering with local schools and colleges, teachers and students to develop the potential for high tech jobs in the area in support of regional nonprofits and more. We're developing programs that address all these needs and more.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The staff is comprised of a business owner in the IT field since 1991 with a broad range of skills dealing with all types of industries and professionals, a long time nonprofit manager, and the backing of many individuals skilled in all of the many areas a technical nonprofit would typically encounter in their daily operations. We have the contacts and relationships with a wide variety of corporate and small business leaders to bring a vast array of knowledge to the table in meeting the needs of our regional nonprofits.
