Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

SLC6A1 Connect is committed to developing a cure.

SLC6A1 Connect is working in conjunction with UT Southwestern to develop a gene replacement therapy.

SLC6A1 Connect is comprised of parent advocates and we are the expert in our disease. We will not rest until a cure is found and our children may have the chance of typical development. We are actively fundraising to meet initial pre-clinical hurdles.

SLC6A1 Connect has unified all effected families, identified interested researchers, formed collaborations between institutions, formed a patient registry, created a website, and we are now working on gene therapy replacement which could result in a cure.
