Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The overarching goal of the organization is to increase local community empowerment via divestment in major corporations engaged in malicious lobbying practices, while investing in sustainable local businesses. Increasing the local communities of the worlds community consciousness is another main goal. Community Consciousness is defined by the Texas A&M University system as: "A community's level of awareness of its current social, economic and environmental situations. Like activeness, the level of consciousness varies across and within communities."

This organization's goal is to enhance that level of awareness around the world. However, we are limited to the knowledge of problems in our communities. In Orange County, California, and most of California, homelessness, food insecurity (affordability of food,) and environmental sustainability are among the most pressing. Thus, we have initiated a business model, and practices, as well as programs and projects targeted to address those pressing issues.

However, we cannot stop there! We are in a position to provide assistance to communities around the nation through our 501(c)(3) status. The Board of Directors are a fierce group of well educated volunteers. They have designed a proposal project scheme where individuals from around the country, can submit proposal for projects that target issues in that community. We then, work with the new project manager utilizing our status to acquire donations and local support for the community projects, or events. In this manner we are able to address problems in communities around the United States, and give individuals new skills that increase their marketability in the workforce.

Sustainable supply chain management designed to source from local producers of raw materials. Our organizations partners with other companies in our local communities that have identical or similar needs as our organization. We then combine our purchasing power and direct those funds towards local produces, opposed to major corporate sources. Additionally, we educate members of our community on local businesses and products that provide comparable alternative to major corporate products. The strategy was inspired by the Greenwood, community of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The community projects or events we facilitate or create, are designed to get local members of the community interacting or engaging with each other, working to solve a major issue. Having the community focus on solving issues rather than, debating on how they started or who is to blame is part of our strategy.

This organization's capabilities are dependent upon donations, and sales. As the organization is newly formed capabilities are limited and highly dependent on contributions from members of communities around the world.

Since the inception of the organization in August of 2018. Community Consciousness has already rescued 129 lbs of FRESH harvest, organic produce (in 3 months) from various local sources. The organization has already began creating high quality, handcrafted soap, and toothpaste.
