Start Day One

Stop dreaming of one day. Start day one.

Toms River, NJ   |  https://startdayone.org

Mission

Our mission is to inspire people to change their perspective from dreaming of one day to starting day one. Our philosophy is that true prevention is not waiting for someone to reach out or show symptoms of suicidal tendencies. We believe that it is more effective to proactively help people stop complaining and taking life for granted before it evolves into suicidal tendencies. We can help suicide prevention by producing and distributing inspirational content, sending motivational speakers to schools, colleges, military bases, rehab centers, etc. and hosting positive events relevant to promoting mental health awareness. Our TEAL theme color represents what we can all give to support suicide prevention: TIME, EFFORT, ATTENTION & LOVE.
