What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Liberia

GoodVision USA’s first project is in Liberia, the eighth poorest country in the world. The population has limited access to medical facilities and even less access to eye care services.  Glasses at optical shops in Liberia cost similar to what they do in the US, however, the minimum hourly wage is under $1. GoodVision is aiming to make affordable glasses within the reach of all Liberians.

Through a partnership with a Liberian NGO, Refugee Place International (RPI), our trained GoodVision Technicians conduct outreaches for visual assessment and optical dispensing in both urban and rural communities, provide a referral pathway to ophthalmic care as needed, and collaborate with the Liberian Ministry of Health on a public awareness campaign on the importance of visual health and the contribution of eyeglasses to quality of life. We bring optical services to where people need it most urgently- their local community.
