What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Bay Area Diaper Bank
Established in 2009, Help a Mother Out's Bay Area Diaper Bank for community partners in the greater Bay Area region provides social workers with an innovative and vital way to meet the concrete needs of children, build trust with families, and offer additional support and services. Diapers are distributed to families in need exclusively through a network of community partners, including family resource centers, voluntary home visiting, facilitated parent support groups, homeless and foster children services, and public health departments.
San Francisco Diaper Bank
Established in 2015, Help a Mother Out’s San Francisco Diaper Bank (SFDB) is the nation's first and only diaper public assistance program. We established the program in 2015 and operate it through a partnership with San Francisco Human Services Agency. The SFDB serves approximately 2,500 eligible CalWORKs and CalFresh families with children under three years old, through a network of diaper distribution centers located throughout the city. Eligible children may receive up to 2 cases (full month’s supply) of diapers each month.
ELO Baby Diapers
We distribute our own private label diaper brand (est. 2019), ELO Baby. Our high-quality diapers are manufactured in a North American ISO certified state of the art facility, alongside numerous popular U.S. diaper brands. In addition to our supplier’s rigorous internal quality controls, we use independent laboratory testing for extra peace of mind.
