Mission

We ally with other nonprofits to bridge gaps and assist in the smooth and efficient delivery of services to communities. We assist refugees settling in the DFW area in cooperation with Refugee Services of Texas. We assist impoverished Guatemalans to gain an education, relieve chronic malnutrition and acute hunger, and improve their living conditions—empowering them to become self-reliant. We also support cultural experiences between our donors and our beneficiaries to enrich communities.

School in Guatemala is free, but the attendance costs of supplies, required fees, books, and transportation are too high for many. Families who do not speak Spanish and where the parents can't read also need a place they can go to get help along the education process. We provide support and sponsorships for education which helps to break the poverty cycle.

Population(s) Served

Children and youth

This program assists with shelter, food, and medical assistance to ensure a child's ability to safely learn. We also assist the elderly as they are often unable to obtain adequate nutrition or shelter.

While we normally have Volunteer Groups come and help us serve people throughout the year which fosters both giving and enhanced cultural exchange, due to the pandemic, volunteer groups are currently encouraged to find other ways to make a difference. Get in touch with us if you are interested in learning more about how you can help.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We strive to empower our community to spread hope to vulnerable populations in simple and direct ways.
We will improve the logistical needs of Refugee Assistant Nonprofits who regularly must set up homes for refugees and other vulnerable populations. We will do this through soliciting, organizing, storing home goods, and distributing in a simplified manner, home goods needed for living. This will allow the services to focus on assisting the refugees with integration services so that refugees can obtain work quickly. This will also allow the refugees to use their meager startup funds for rent and food items.

We will also continue, in a reduced capacity, our alliance with Fundamaya in Guatemala to enhance educational opportunities and reduce hunger.
