Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Workforce Development
We aim to empower the local church to address the issues of unemployment and underemployment through:
Jobs for Life (www.jobsforlife.org) classes provide job preparedness through a Biblically based, relationship focused job preparedness class. Jobs for Life teaches the basics of interview skills, job search techniques, and resume building along with character development for the work place and beyond.
Serving Internationals
We serve the international community, mostly recent immigrants and refugees, in several ways:
1) Training teachers to teach English classes as part of local church programs
2) Consulting with the directors of local church-based English programs
3) Uniting Christians from the community to pray for their international neighbors
Community Engagement
Community engagement takes various forms with the vision that churches and individuals are equipped to build loving relationships with their neighbors in need and together to discover true hope in Jesus Christ.
1) Church consultations to learn more about their immediate community's assets and their own church's assets
2) Ally training to equip people to better come alongside a neighbor in need
3) Ministry consultations to assist them in connecting with local church bodies for colaboration
Conferences and training
Many church leaders want to better serve their community by sending those from their own congregation but find they need equipping and/or assistance. Our training opportunities have focused on:
1) church benevolence as an opportunity for relationship building
2) Trauma informed care in ministry
More training opportunities are being planned for 2021.
