What we aim to solve
Supplies for Success envisions an equal education for all, in which no student begins the school year empty-handed and disadvantaged children in the United States do not start and stay behind. Most low-income children start school without the basic tools needed to learn, and getting school supplies can make all the difference for their future success. For families in need, school supplies are a luxury, and may mean a family’s choice between paying the electric bill, and spending on their child’s classroom necessities. No one should have to make that choice. We provide educational supplies for success so underserved children have a real shot at success.
Tools for Success
100% of donations go directly to helping impoverished children through the distribution of educational tools for success in school.
We organize and facilitate assembly events, large and small, where the volunteers come together for the hands-on experience of filling backpacks with essential supplies.
Our programming promotes voluntarism, builds caring communities and presents opportunities for team-building.
Eighty to Ninety per cent of the Backpacks and CareKits are pre-assembled in our suppliers’ warehouses for direct shipment to our nonprofit community partners for distribution to the children.
