What we aim to solve

Genomic medicine is rapidly advancing and pretty much mainstream into healthcare. As a result response to any medical treatment is going to be very unique that will reflect the genetic makeu of the person. The last few years have steadily seen genomics becoming more mainstream in the medical discipline. It has become more regular to see the use of personal genomic data as a part of regular clinical care (e.g. for diagnostic and therapeutic decision making). All being said, the implications of every new 'variant' and its clinical significance is still vastly under-addressed. The question still remains if any 'alteration' in the genetic sequence at a particular location has any clinical relevance and more so with respect to the treatment outcomes for the given individual. Queromatics hopes to address the area of genomic medicine - one dataset at a time; one web-based solution at a time.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

CancerStop

CancerStop is a quick reference guide for different cancers by providing

1) An interactive survival charts (age at diagnosis),
2) A curated search engine,
3) A direct link to relevant clinical trials,
4) Listing approved cancer drugs (NCI), and
5) Search for Gene Panel results.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Create and maintain web-based resources to aid and assist advances in genomic and precision medicine. Understand the evolving standards as it applies to applications in Human health and Biomedicine.

Some of the approaches include creation and maintenance of 1) Databases 2) Knowledge-bases 3) Research analysis methods and tools. whose needs are evolving and complementary to existing ones OR new resources.

The core team consists of people with solid experience in healthcare, basic R&D in life sciences and IT infrastructure

Queromatics has different ongoing collaborative projects some of which include

1) CancerStop - A Cancer App.

The app is currently LIVE on https://www.cancerstop.dev/

2) Presci-Med-Q - is a search application that instantly locates relevant information for queries in regard to genetic variants obtained from NGS reports. This is a highly useful search app for (genetic) variant analysts that either provide curation or clinical reporting.

Link to the resource - https://www.queromatics.org/resources-and-tools/apps-tools-etc/presci-med-q

3) Covibase - COVIBASE will be an ongoing information and surveillance resource to track, monitor, and research the current SARS-CoV-2 pandemic caused by the novel coronavirus. The database will be hosted on a website http://www.covibase.org .

There will be two parts to this database. 1) A compilation of all existing literature and information relating to COVID-19, SARS and related viruses 2) A Real-Time Database of Covid-19 mortalities (RT-docom) w.r.t a) Demographics b) Diagnostics c) Clinical characteristics d) Viral isolate details Query interface will have 3 components to it 1) Search terms 2) Sequence Profiling Interface like Sequerome 3) 3D Visualization to query for small molecule inhibitors
