Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
MSOF Family Dinner Project
Our MSOF family dinner team is writing a family dinner book that connects families to strategies that encourage shared family meal time, connects them to special operations heritage and tradition, and introduces wellness strategies that help families connect. This dinner team will go beyond the book with other programs in 2022.
Special Operations Community Education
MSOF provides specially designed workshops, training and resources to special operations units/support staff, and healthcare providers, and nonprofit organizations who care for and serve the special operations community. These workshops and resources work to broaden understanding of the unique health and care needs of the special operations community, help connect the broad community, and streamline research efforts that support special operation force health.
Special Operations Family Programs
MSOF provides specially designed workshops, training and resources to special operations families. These workshops and resources work to connect special operations families with effective and efficient resources so their families thrive throughout a special operations career and after.
Special Operations Community Program Evaluation
MSOF provides program evaluation services to organizations that serve elements of the military special operations community. We do this to improve the used of best practice and unify the efforts and language used to serve the community. It is critical that programs designed for special operations service members and families are grounded in evidence.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We believe special operations forces (SOF) families deserve care that meets their specific needs, takes the whole person and family into account, and is based on reliable evidence. Everything we do is an effort to tackle systemic gaps and barriers impacting community well-being. We conduct research to understand special operations-specific needs, educate stakeholders at all levels, and connect the community to effective resources to thrive — from selection into life following military service.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Develop and implement programs that put evidence-based health and well-being education, skills, and resources into the hands of families and community supporters. These programs include SOF Team Room, SOF Health Deep Dive, Connecting SOF Resource Directory, The Warrior’s Table cookbook, trainings and workshops, SOF Health Conference (in development), and program mentoring and evaluation for partner nonprofits. In addition, our fact-finding and program development initiatives include the SOF Suicide Prevention Initiative, Medical Initiative, and Cancer Task Force
