What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Installation of Accessibility Railings for The Ebell of Los Angeles Gardens
This program is for the construction of barrier-free hand railings throughout the historic Ebell of Los Angeles clubhouse gardens. This includes restoration of some existing handrails. The objective of this project is to provide accessibility and safety to the hundreds of people who regularly enjoy the Ebell gardens and patios. The railings will be made to historic and safety specifications, and will enhance the historic nature of the facility.
Preservation Master Plan
PRESERVATION MASTER PLAN OVERVIEW
The Ebell of Los Angeles Preservation Master Plan is written at the request of the Board of Directors of
The Ebell to further the goal of rehabilitation and appropriate maintenance of the historic building.
The report’s purpose is to assist the organization in developing strategic planning tools, budgets, and
schedules for building, site and landscape improvements to assure the continued use of the historic
campus.
The Preservation Master Plan is based on the observations and finding of a team of consultants
including surveyors, historians, architects, engineers, and preservation specialists. The methodology
may be used as an on-going work plan for continued study and prioritization as more disciplines and specialists are engaged in the process.
