TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE AREA OF JAPANESE LANGUAGE, CULTURE, TRADITIONS AND EXPERIENCES IN THE ST. LOUIS METROPOLITAN AREA AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES, PRIMARILY THROUGH THE OPERATION OF AN ANNUAL JAPANESE FESTIVAL IN THE ST. LOUIS AREA; TO LESSEN COMMUNITY TENSIONS AND PROMOTE AND FOSTER A SENSE OF COMMUNITY IN THE ST. LOUIS MISSOURI COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES; TO PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR OTHER PERSONS, GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS CONCERNED WITH JAPANESE LANGUAGE, CULTURE, AND TRADITIONS AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES TO WORK TOGETHER TO CONDUCT THE JAPANESE FESTIVAL SO AS TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN THE AREA OF JAPANESE LANGUAGE, CULTURE, TRADITIONS AND EXPERIENCES AND TO LESSEN COMMUNITY TENSIONS AND PROMOTE A FEELING OF COMMUNITY AMONG THE PERSONS, GROUPS, ORGANIZATIONS, ST. LOUIS COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND MEMBERS OF SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.
