Light A Lamp

During the pandemic, one of the hardest hit populations has been our teenagers who are experiencing anxiety and depression in record numbers. This year Light A Lamp 501c3 nonprofit began a mission called Project Lift Up. This is aimed at supporting children in High Schools and Middle Schools in our community who struggle with feelings of hopelessness or suicidal thoughts. Light A Lamp provides encouraging gift boxes that include resources for these students in their time of need. The school counselors confidentially select the students who receive these gift boxes. Our intention is to let the students know that they are not alone and to send a message of encouragement. Team Light A Lamp offers time in these schools to speak with students about ways they can include others, offer selfless kindness to those around them and self confidence.
