Counseling Services

Individual Therapy

The most common reason why people come to AllHealth Network is for one to one therapy with our caring clinicians. Many individuals, couples, and families seek care during a stressful time in their lives. We offer treatment that gives you the chance to see your challenges in a new light and to make effective changes that work for you.

Some of the key issues we work with during individual counseling or psychotherapy may include:

Stress
Life/work/school transitions
Relationship struggles
Self-esteem
Grief/loss
Anxiety
Depression
ADHD
Trauma
Loneliness

Together, you and your therapist will have an opportunity to talk through ongoing, past or current issues based on a personalized treatment plans with goals you identify.

All clients start with a face to face clinical assessment with an intake clinician who will determine the best match for you within AllHealth Network. Once you begin therapy with your assigned clinician, each session lasts approximately 45 minutes.

We offer short-term, solution focused brief treatment as well as more long-term psychotherapy for mental health conditions. Families are encouraged to participate in treatment with their child or adolescent.
Clients and therapists work together to decide the best approach for care. Individual therapy is available for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in these locations: Centennial, Littleton, Parker, Castle Rock, DTC.

Couples Therapy

Love and connection are fundamental to who we are as human beings—but the process is not always easy. Our therapists believe in the power of communication and can offer guidance and support to provide a safe space for both people in the relationship. We provide counseling services to all couples regardless of sexual orientation, religion, race, age or marital status.

Family Therapy

Family dynamics are complicated. They are constantly changing and evolve over time as the family’s circumstances change. Families may face a challenge due to a new addition to the family, the loss of a loved one, a relocation, a conflict or something else. Family therapy is available to help resolve conflicts, to improve communication, and help you understand one another better. Treatment is often short term. It may include all family members or just those willing to participate. Your specific treatment plan will depend on your family’s situation. Family therapy sessions can teach you skills to deepen family connections and get through stressful times, even after you’re done going to therapy sessions.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is a powerful and often under used form of treatment. The benefits of being able to share one’s experience in a group has been found to result in greater connection with others, healing, and a strong sense of community. Groups are offered for certain populations (i.e., adolescents, adoptive parents, women) as well as on specific topics (i.e., emotional regulation, resiliency, addiction).

AllHealth Network offers both skills-based and process groups. Skills groups are typically time limited (2-6 months) and the focus of each group is to learn effective and concrete ways of coping, diminishing mental health symptoms, or improving communication.

Process groups are more open-ended and ongoing in scope. People often learn a tremendous amount about their interpersonal styles and habits, especially how they relate to and impact other people. Process groups are a way of receiving support and challenging one’s self for growth.

Community Wellness Services

As a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC), AllHealth has programs to support our most vulnerable clients—individuals living with serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and psychotic disorders and those who are disabled due to mental illness. Our team of dedicated staff connect with clients, our community partners, and systems of care to provide coordinated care that “wraps” around the individual in their recovery.

Community Wellness Services refers to our programs that help clients on their journey to recovery. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) recognizes there are many different pathways to recovery and each individual determines his or her own way.

Population(s) Served
Adults
Families
Substance abusers
Social and economic status

AllHealth Network serves both adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse issues by providing a broad range of comprehensive services that lead to recovery.

While mental illness and addiction may appear to be independent of one another, the reality is that mental illness and substance abuse together, sometimes make recovery a greater challenge. The end result is often a vicious cycle.

Adult Treatment:
Since 1977, AllHealth Network has been effectively treating adults who are faced with both mental illness and addiction. As the first outpatient program in Colorado to integrate treatment for both substance abuse and mental health issues, our program focuses on treating each individual's underlying mental illness and substance abuse problem at the same time. This approach encourages a more successful recovery.

Services especially for women, moms, and expectant mothers:
Our case management services and mental health treatment options are designed to meet the special treatment needs of pregnant women and mothers. We work hard to make sure pregnant women and mothers can quickly access treatment.

Adolescent Treatment:
We provide services to teens struggling with substance abuse by focusing on a collaborative treatment effort involving the teen's family. Whether a teen is experimenting with substances or an addiction is controlling an individual's life, we're here to help.

Programs include outpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs, peer recovery coaches, and case management. We also offer Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Medication

The decision to seek medication for the treatment of a mental health or substance use disorder is a highly personal one. We recommend discussing the possibility of considering medication during a therapy appointment with a counselor. Research shows that the most effective treatment for many mental health conditions is a combination of medication and psychotherapy.

Communication with your Primary Care Physician

At AllHealth Network, we believe in caring for the whole person by collaborating with your medical providers. We recommend you let your primary care doctor know you are seeking care with us and encourage you to have a conversation with your primary care doctor about medication if you and your therapist feel it will help your treatment. In many cases, a client’s primary care doctor can prescribe medication for mental health conditions such as anxiety or depression.

Our Network of Prescribers

When more in-depth expertise is needed, AllHealth Network employs more than 25 talented psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners who will listen to you to determine medication options. Our prescribers conduct medication management appointments at regular intervals to evaluate your response to medications and adjust as needed.

Help for Opioid Addictions

For individuals coping with opioid addiction, we have a Board-Certified Addiction Psychiatrist who is available to prescribe Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT)—specifically, Suboxone® or Vivitrol®.

Pharmacy

We have a pharmacy on-site at our Sycamore location in Littleton that is convenient for filling prescriptions at the time of your appointment.

We have Naloxone kits on-site at each of our locations.

Walk-in Center

Our Walk-In Center (WIC) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our licensed clinicians offer confidential, in-person support, information and referrals to anyone in need.

We see children, adolescents, young adults, families and adults.

Our licensed staff can also provide psychiatric evaluations to help guide clinical decisions around whether or not an inpatient stay may be needed on a psychiatric unit, at our Acute Treatment Unit, a Crisis Stabilization Unit or a respite facility.

One goal of coming to a Walk-In Center is for individuals to safely de-escalate and receive clinical support for a mental health or substance use problem. Our staff provide a connection to the right care at the right time by coordinating a warm hand-off to appropriate treatment services.

Our helpful Phone Intake Counselors are available at all hours of the day to receive referrals from the community, area hospitals or from our crisis hotline.

Crisis Hotline: 303-730-3303

AllHealth Network is proud to partner with local law enforcement to provide Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) services. We have mental health clinicians who ride along (“co-respond”) with area police departments to help during a crisis. If you or a loved one has a mental health emergency, ask for a CIT-trained officer when you call 911.

Population(s) Served

Our Acute Treatment Unit (ATU) is a 16 bed treatment facility for adults in need of an inpatient stay due to a psychiatric or mental health crisis. Bridge House offers a residential level of care to adults experiencing a complex behavioral health crisis. It is a higher level of care than a Crisis Stabilization Unit, yet not as intense as an inpatient hospital.

The ATU is a safe place for individuals who are experiencing suicidal risk or an inability to function due to a psychiatric emergency. The clinical and nursing team use an evidence-based approach called Illness Management and Recovery to help clients develop personal strategies for coping with mental illness and moving forward with their life. Crisis mental health services include:

Psychiatric evaluation
Medication evaluation & management
Medications (as needed)
24/7 Nursing care
Physical examination
Therapeutic groups
Skill based and recreational group activities
Counseling
Care Navigation
Peer support
Family meetings

The ATU has two single rooms for clients who identify as transgender who may prefer additional privacy or for individuals who would benefit from not having a roommate due to their psychiatric condition. ATU’s provide intensive and individualized services in a therapeutic, yet secure setting. Treatment may be voluntary or involuntary.

Bridge House clients have access to books, magazines, movies, puzzles, art supplies, a shared iPad for podcasts and music, an elliptical, as well as X-Box games.

Population(s) Served

In partnership with: Colorado Crisis Services, the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a residential, unlocked facility with clinical care for clients struggling to manage their psychiatric conditions and who are not at high risk of harm. The average length of stay at our CSU is always less than 5 days. The small group, living room like environment with access to our outdoor patio and therapeutic walking path make this a good option for adults seeking services to regain balance. We can also arrange placement at a Colorado Crisis Services partner CSU for individuals under age 18.

AllHealth Network’s CSU is available for adults (age 18 and older) who need more intensive services than outpatient. Voluntary or involuntary treatment can be for up to five days. The CSU engages in therapeutic groups such as art, yoga, and mindfulness and even has an iPad to broadcast music and podcasts. Individuals must be referred from a Walk in Crisis Center to be admitted to the CSU.

The CSU has a psychiatric provider available for evaluations, ongoing assessment and medications as needed. Our compassionate nursing team is available around the clock, and a clinician helps facilitate groups, individual and family counseling for clients.
