What we aim to solve
Bayaud Enterprises is working collaboratively toward increasing the self-sufficiency of individuals challenged with intellectual and physical disabilities, homelessness and/or poverty.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Bayaud Enterprises, Inc.
Services include vocational evaluation, Community-based Transitional Work Adjustment (real work experience, with on-site support) Computer Skills Training; Job Training and Placement Services; Navigation Services and Community Benefits Acquisition; Employment services for individuals experiencing homelessness; Mobile Services (Laundry Truck and Shower Truck)
Vocational Evaluation
Bayaud Enterprises uses vocational evaluation to determine an individual’s vocational assets, limitations, strengths and behaviors in the context of a real work environment. We then make specific recommendations to the individuals that will be used in the development of the individual’s vocational plan. Testing provides a reliable assessment of vocational achievement, interests, learning styles, abilities and aptitudes.
Homeless Job Services
Bayaud Enterprises is a partner in Denver’s Road Home, the 10-year plan to end homelessness. For homeless individuals, we provide job coaching, resume building, and job placement services. Through our various community partnerships, we are able to find services to best suit individuals who are chronically homeless, newly homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. In partnership with Denver County and Adams County, we provide the Day Works programs which provides day labor, on-the-job training, job placement services, and other essential services to adults experiencing homelessness.
Community Resource Navigator
The goal of the Community Resource Navigator is to help people access social services and other community resources that are available to them. Identifying benefits and services they might qualify for can be difficult; understanding where to go, filling out complex applications and following timelines to apply for assistance can be confusing and overwhelming. A Navigator is there for clients to provide information and support in order to improve your access to these programs and services.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Bayaud aims to expand social enterprise ventures and self-sufficiency programming to increase integrated supported employment, job services, mental health counseling, mobile laundry and shower services, public benefits acquisition, and other basic human services for at least 3,000 individuals and families a year.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Bayaud is working to improve internal operations to support the growing needs of Bayaud constituents with strong leadership, improved technology and communication support, workspace, and proven strategies for sustainability. In 2021, we plan to launch a capital campaign to secure the funding needed to expand our facility with additional space for space for programming including our social enterprise ventures.
Bayaud is also working to inspire a culture of excellence that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion with opportunities for professional growth and benefits.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
For more than 50 years, Bayaud has been recognized as an innovator in reducing hurdles for individuals to engage in the workforce and achieve self-reliance. We believe that nothing is more fundamental to economic self-sufficiency than employment. Our programs and social enterprises advance self-sufficiency with supported employment, job services, and comprehensive services that support job retention for single adults, and older adults who are challenged with disabilities, homelessness, past incarceration, and/or poverty.
Our partnerships with local agencies along with support from foundations, businesses and individual donors ensures the needs of our constituents are fully addressed.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
With our Day Works program, Bayaud partners with the City and County of Denver and Adams County to provide day labor, on-the-job training, job placement services, and other essential services to adults experiencing homelessness.
Bayaud currently has two mobile laundry trucks and in 2019 launched a mobile Shower Truck to support individuals and families challenged with homelessness by alleviating barriers to job search and housing security.
Bayaud’s Career Center prepares participants with the tools and skills they need for successful job search with vocational assessments, training on resume writing and interviewing, internet-based job search, and computer skills training.
Bayaud navigators provide life skills training support and connect participants to community resources for housing, health care, and other vital services. Emergency/Supplemental Food and Personal Hygiene Supplies are provided to 90-100 households a month with approximately 325 children and adults.
In early 2020, Bayaud launched Bayaud Works, a new program/department to increase social enterprise ventures that create jobs and future job training while also generating unrestricted revenue to support programming and general operations.
