What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

We are enriching the lives of men, women and children through education, business training, and food distribution. During the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, Scott Brookins Ministries has been distributing food weekly to 60+ families. All the families are from different communities and have been struggling, many starving for many days. Due to this Food Project, lives are being saved from starvation and possible death.

Students

In 2013, a Business Training Program was started to equip widows and abandoned women with a way to become self-sufficient and to be able to support themselves and their children. The women involved chose which products and businesses are needed in their local area. These products are not sold in the USA, so that the women are supported by their local economy and are not relying on support from the USA or other countries.

The businesses they have chosen are:

Candle making
Knitting sweaters for school uniforms
Cake making
Woven mats
Hair Nets
Soap making

in 2023, the women opened up their own shop location where they can produce all of their products, sell to retail and wholesale customers.

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Building the School: To provide a school for the local village children, so that they have access to a quality education.

Vocational Training: To provide a way for widows and abandoned women to earn an income and become self-sufficient in providing for themselves and their children.

Humanitarian Aid: (1) To help widows and abandoned women provide for their basic needs and the needs of their children. (2) To provide weekly food for families starving during the COVID-19 crisis.

We continue to trust in our Lord Jesus Christ to develop these projects for His Glory. Our partnership with the local pastor and church allows us to impact lives on a daily basis.

Prayer and financial support of many individuals and churches throughout many countries enables us to do this important work.

We have impacted thousands of lives in a very short period of time. There are many more men, women, and children whose lives can be impacted by these current and future projects. There is a continuous need to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to give the Hope that He brings to us all.
