What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
2LT Emily JT Perez Scholarship
Emily's Way addresses challenges faced by girls and young women, particularly in the Oxon Hill community of Prince George's County. Our goal is to empower adolescent girls to reach their fullest potential intellectually, socially, and professionally, inspired by our namesake's legacy of excellence and passion for sharing her skills.
The foundation awards one to three annual scholarships of up to $2,500 to high school graduating young women. These scholarships aim to support their educational and professional aspirations, providing financial assistance to help them achieve their dreams.
Camp Emily's Way
Camp Emily's Way is a transformative 1-week overnight leadership camp empowering 7th and 8th grade Black and Latina girls. The program nurtures the whole person, instilling values and life skills to unlock their full potential.
Campers engage in leadership development, STEM activities, community service, and wilderness adventures, learning sisterhood, integrity, resilience, self-awareness, and determination. Our goal is to build confidence and equip these girls to pursue their dreams.
Led by women West Point graduates and cadets, campers develop communication, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. Inspirational speakers share insights. Our holistic approach combines personal growth with academic enrichment and college/workforce readiness.
At Emily's Way, campers form lifelong friendships and gain the wisdom, experience, and self-belief to become motivated, compassionate leaders.
