Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Immigration Legal Services Program

AIS provides trauma-informed immigration legal services to survivors of violent crime. From a survivor’s initial intake through case closing, we guide the immigration process with cultural sensitivity and topical expertise. We identify the legal immigration needs of each survivor and provide counsel and advice. We provide full legal representation to survivors as appropriate, whether through an application for a U visa, T visa, or for VAWA, or in removal defense, zealously advocating for the survivor’s rights.

Population(s) Served

Our case management program provides safety planning, enrollment in services, law enforcement advocacy, criminal case status updates, and community referrals.

Population(s) Served

AIS holds at least two outreach and education events each year. The purpose of these events is to educate the community, whether it be survivors or service providers, on identification of and immigration options available to survivors.
