What we aim to solve

The lack of awareness and resulting lack of funding for childhood cancer research. Only four percent of the National Institutes of Health's Cancer Research budget goes to fund research for pediatric cancers. Our belief is that Awareness=Funding=Cure. We also are helping children going through the draconian methods of treating childhood cancers, primarily with very old, adult chemotherapies, by helping to raise their spirits and put a smile on their faces, even if for a moment, by providing them with custom made bears. Marlee gave bears to other kids fighting cancer by giving them bears as she fought the beast herself. We are "Changing the World for Kids with Cancer, One Smile at a Time!"

Increase awareness and funding for childhood cancer. Put a smile on the face of every child who is on this horrendous journey! Finally, CURE CHILDHOOD CANCERS!

Significant awareness activities, primarily in the month of September, highlighting childhood cancer and the significant need for funding additional research. Having a significant presence in Texas Children's Hospital, MD Andersons Children's Cancer Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado, LA Children's Hospital and childhood cancer centers across the country providing bears to kids with cancer and their siblings. Increasing the donation of bears to free up monetary reserves for funding childhood cancer research through larger non-profit organizations that only fund childhood cancer research.

Expecting over $500,000 0f bear donations this holiday season (2019), freeing up resources for other strategic initiatives, Big splash fundraising/awareness events for 2020 already in the planning stages with significant corporate partners. Negotiating a position in large consortium of smaller charities with mission of curing childhood cancer in order to align resources and make a bigger impact on research.

More Gold in September each year, chasing the November Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness. Amount of resources available for research each year. Inventory of bears to be distributed.\ Number is kids and siblings receiving a custom bear.

Partnered with several large corporate donors to fund our mission. Distributed hundreds of bears to kids and siblings in at least ten states, Significant fundraisers planned in Texas, Colorado and Hawaii. Next is expanding our reach to more pediatric cancer centers across the country and eventually the world in order to Change the World for Kids with Cancer, One Smile at a Time!
