Financial Aid For Caner Treatment
Our major program is providing cash grants to newly diagnosed cancer patients in the DFW area. Even with health insurance, the financial burdens of a cancer diagnosis can be devastating. Many patients we work with have deductibles and out of pocket limits as high as $8,500 at a time when they may not be able to work. Often this leaves them with the dilemma of either providing food and shelter for their family or paying for the care they need. We don't want them to have to make that choice. Over 90% of our financial assistance went to patients earning less than 400% of the federal poverty line. Payments are always made directly to treatment providers.
