Quality Education

Education is vital to lasting positive change in children’s lives. Yet for millions of children and youth in countries like Haiti, education is beyond their grasp. Hand International Inc reaches the world’s most under-served children – those who urgently need education to survive and thrive. We work in impoverished rural communities across the Caribbean. We provide early childhood development, literacy, physical activity, and nutrition programming.

Children in Haiti are facing an unimaginable tragedy. Approximately 33% of children ages 6-12 do not attend school, and this percentage climbs to 40% for children ages 5 to 15 which accounts for approximately one million children. Every morning, tens of thousands of Haitian children wake up to a hazardous reality.

The specific goals and purpose of this organization shall be:

a. to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, pro-social behavior, strong inter personal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.

b. to improve the living condition of the less fortunate through quality education, health and combat against community deterioration.

c. to highlight/maintain practices and programs that promote sustainable development. d. to develop actions, bring reflections and facilitate the reception of certain aspects in favor of health and educational structure that are weak.
