Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We collect medical equipment that we are able to ship to Mexico (walkers, wheelchairs, hospital beds, orthopedic boots, etc.). We also accept donations of diapers for adults that we are able to ship to them and give them out free of cost.

We also accept monetary donations from members and friends and have fundraisers to assist people with medical expenses, surgeries, lab studies, etc.

We have an Ambassadors Club that will help us continue the work of our Foundation once the present members are no longer here. Our term-limits are for eight years according to our Bylaws and we are planning to pass the torch to the future generation of leaders.

We currently have seven Ambassadors in this first year. We are planning to grow this number to secure the future of our mission and our Foundation.

We have had about five different fundraisers with the the help of our Ambassadors. We have two more scheduled for the next six months and are planning to have at least four every year.

Data
  • We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
Policies and processes
  • We have a promotion process that anticipates and mitigates implicit and explicit biases about people of color serving in leadership positions.
  • We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
  • We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
