Mission

WeSeeU Inc strives to fill the gap for hardworking families and individuals by providing assistance throughout the year through various initiatives and programs.

Notes from the nonprofit

The WeSeeU mission is to create a platform for people who have the heart to give and serve. We provide numerous volunteer and sponsorship opportunities for anyone to make a difference. Our goal is to continue to help those individuals that work hard everyday to make ends meet and sometimes fall short. Unfortunately, many times this subset of individuals do not qualify for government or other assistance. We make sure that they are still able to provide the extras for their families such as Holiday gifts, Back2School supplies, College Bound senior needs and food/clothing when needed. We also give and serve our homeless and migrant worker family population. WeSeeU provides Educational and Social training such as Financial Literacy, Technology and Diversity/Inclusive Training. WeSeeU also shows support to our active duty service members, teachers and first responders by collecting handwritten notes to these groups and distributing them through various initiatives. What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

WeSeeU aims to identify and support hardworking individuals who sometimes need a helping hand for their families for life events such as Holidays, Back2School, College Bound Seniors, Nursing Home Family Members. In addition, WeSeeU likes to show love to society members such as the homeless, migrant families and our teachers, first responders and military members by creating a platform where these individuals are shown appreciation and recognized for their contributions to the youth and families.

Holiday Angel Gift Giving

WeSeeU and members adopts families/children during the holidays and purchase gifts to provide a meaningful holiday full of love and hope.

Population(s) Served

Through this program, we partner with local Title One/Transformational schools. Students are identified that need one on one mentoring/tutoring to help them with Reading, Math, Spelling and Social Skills. Volunteers sign up and commit to this 13 week program (Feb 1 - April 30) and meet weekly by zoom with their assigned students for 30 minutes. We also partner with PwC, Dungy Family Foundation, CWAV to provide Financial Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion and Technology trainings to students in the underserved schools.

Population(s) Served

We assist graduating high schools that are preparing for their college experience. This program provides items off the student’s wish list for college. The items are presented at a special recognition dinner for the seniors and their immediate families where they are celebrated for their accomplishments. The group of seniors also participate in a Financial Literacy Boot Camp (8 hrs) to help them get better prepared for college.

Population(s) Served

WeSeeU provides a platform to receive and distribute handwritten notes to the following areas of service:

Write a note as a RBL activity to Active Military Service Members
Write a note as a RBL activity to Teachers
Write a note as a RBL activity to First Responders

These notes are collected and distributed during monthly/quarterly appreciation luncheons to teachers, first responders and given to Stano Foundation to provide in their quarterly military packages.

Population(s) Served

This campaign creates about 500 backpacks to contribute to 2 Back2School Drives in the Tampa Bay area. The backpacks are filled with school supplies and distributed to the students during these 2 drives. WeSeeU also provides 50 - 100 students in a selected underserved school with uniforms, backpacks and shoes in preparation for school.

Population(s) Served

This program identifies the needs of our homeless population and Migrant Worker families population. We create hygiene snack packs and distribute them to our homeless population in addition to clothing and shoes. WeSeeU works with the Migrant worker group to identify their needs and provide clothing, shoes, uber vouchers and mentoring/tutoring for the students as needed. The graduating high school seniors are also invited to be nominated for our College Bound Senior Program.

Data

  • We ask team members to identify racial disparities in their programs and / or portfolios.
  • We analyze disaggregated data and root causes of race disparities that impact the organization's programs, portfolios, and the populations served.
