Colfax ECHO
RAIN has contracted with the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center's Project ECHO® to implement what we are calling Colfax ECHO. Colfax ECHO will provide a monthly virtual forum using the Behavioral Health and Addiction model for participants to develop collaborative relationships and learn about how to improve interactions between participants and individuals with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues. Participants will include criminal justice system representatives, law enforcement agency representatives, behavioral health providers, and other concerned community members. The Project ECHO® format is an evidence-based process which has achieved national recognition.
Youth Leadership Development Training Program
RAIN has the support of five rural School District Superintendents to implement a virtual Youth Leadership Development Training Program for 7th graders. Using an evidence-based program, our target population will be students with lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem which makes it unlikely that they participate in available afterschool activities. Incoming 7th graders will meet twice weekly for three weeks before the beginning of the academic year 2022-2023 and then weekly during the school year.
