Mission

Animal Aid of Mississippi is an animal rescue in South Mississippi that rescues abused, neglected and abandoned dogs and cats in our Gulf Coast community. We provide shelter, medical care and behavioral training for these animals in order to place them through adoption into safe, loving and nurturing homes where each animal is able to live a life where they are loved and treasured.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Animal Aid (Angels in Disguise) of Mississippi

Our program started as a simple rescue for stray or abandoned dogs and cats and placing them in loving forever homes. In the last year it has grown tremendously and now includes expanded spay and neuter services to the community and extending a helping hand to families in need when it comes to the care of their dogs. The includes material items such as food, beds, bowls, leads and education about caring of their pets in a humane manner.

The latest ongoing project is the creation of a forever home for unadoptable dogs. The rescue owns a 20-acre property that will have kennels and a place for an attendant to live. The 1-acre completely enclosed fenced play area has been completed. Currently, our volunteers use this area for "Doggie Days Out" for a local shelter.

We are entirely run by a dedicated group of volunteers. We have no paid employees. All funds raised go directly towards our goal of decreasing the population of unloved, homeless animals.
