Mission
The primary purpose of Cassie’s Cats, Inc. is to place rescued cats and kittens into safe, loving, permanent homes. The specific objectives and purpose of this organization shall be: *Socialize rescued cats and kittens to help them get adopted more quickly. *Educate the public about the benefits of adopting rescued cats and kittens versus buying from breeders. *Educate the public about the importance of spaying/neutering companion cats and kittens. *Educate the public about caring for neonatal kittens (“bottle babies”).
Notes from the nonprofit
In 2020 our focus was on fundraising so that we can open a lounge and adoption center in Ventura, CA. COVID-19 shutdowns have delayed our ability to open but we remain optimistic that the time to do so safely will arrive in 2021. We aimed to raise at least $10,000 in 2020 to help us with projected expenses (retail leases are not cheap in midtown Ventura). We appreciate the support of our donors and look forward to opening later this year!
