Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Rock at Noonday provides for those in need through programs related to basic human needs and partners with other agencies to provide additional services to help those suffering from homelessness and near homelessness.

The Rock strives to make nutritious meals, showers, clothing, day shelter, food boxes and more available to anyone in need. Along with services, the Rock is here to restore hope and does so with compassion.

The Rock's ultimate goal would be to see an end of homelessness and no need for food, shelter and additional services, but until that day, we will work to provide for those in our community.

The Rock provides for basic needs day after day. It starts with the meals prepared by our staff and volunteers. Hunger is addressed and additional needs can then be met. Showers, clothing, phone access, hair cuts and more are available. After addressing the most basic of needs, the Rock is able to help in additional areas and partners with multiple agencies to provide second tier services on-site. These services include access to housing programs, Christian Legal Aid, job programs, healthcare, benefits, veterans services, and more.

The Rock meets the needs of clients through the work of a small staff and a large number of volunteers. The Rock has community partners tied to everything from service agencies, food partners and more. At this time, the Rock is collaborating with over 35 partners. The Rock partners with Feeding America through Roadrunner Food Bank and is partners with several restaurants, hotels, grocery stores and more; eliminating excess food waste in our community while reducing food insecurity for many. The Rock works to do a lot with limited resources and is a true collaborator within the community.

The Rock at Noonday was founded as Noon Day Ministries in 1982. Over the decades of service, the Rock has alleviated food insecurity and hunger and so much more. It is the safe place for many with few options and provides for individuals and families with compassion and hope. The Rock continues to work with partner agencies to establish opportunities to create changed lives. We have the privilege of working with hundreds of volunteers each year and see the work here as a true community collaboration and experience to make Albuquerque a better place. There is much to be done and the Rock will continue to provide needed services as we work towards a community without homelessness, food insecurity and instability for families and individuals in need. The Rock's goal is to do more than meet physical needs, but to also show compassion in a way that builds hope for a better tomorrow.
