Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We at Teachers' Teammates believe it is unacceptable that far too often teachers need to reach into their own pocket to meet the needs of their students in under-resourced schools and communities. Having adequate school supplies has a positive impact on the quality of students' education. There is a surplus of usable new and gently used goods in the community at-large that are suitable to be re-purposed for use in a classroom. Many usable goods that are no longer needed by the original owner are added to the waste stream. Donating them to be re-purposed by students and teachers reduces waste and is responsible stewardship of resources.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
TT goal is to ensure that every student and teacher have the supplies they need to be successful in school. We want to divert resources that are otherwise wasted to help meet this need.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Teachers' Teammates establishes and builds partnerships with businesses, organizations and individuals to collect and re-distribute surplus goods. We are active members of the Delaware County and Main Line Chambers of Commerce which has been extremely helpful in informing the business community of the option to donate vs. discard products they no longer need. We contact businesses that are moving or reducing their office footprint, have discontinued or out of season products. Some of the entities that we've partnered with are: local libraries, professional organizers, a business clean-out company, universities, schools, retired teachers, PSEA, senior citizen groups and scouts.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
