Mission

FairVote Illinois is a nonprofit, non-partisan organization. Our mission is to empower Illinois voters to be heard, supported, and represented by improving freedom and fairness in our elections through Ranked Choice Voting, or RCV. We believe Illinois voters should have a greater choice in who represents them, a stronger voice that is heard by those in office, and representation that better reflects their values, beliefs, and backgrounds.

Evanston RCV Education Campaign

Mayor-elect Daniel Biss has historically supported RCV. With targeted education efforts in Evanston, FV-IL intends to create general support amongst his constituents to build the pressure necessary to implement RCV. Education efforts will include social media posts and ads, direct presentations for organizations, and canvassing at local sites. The campaign will focus on how RCV works and why it would be beneficial. Success will be measured by a growth in local supporters and volunteers.
