First Nations Resource Center
We are in the process of creating a training hub and resource center in Gallup New Mexico called the First Nations Resource Center(FNRC), to promote:
• Learning,
• Engagement,
• Employment skills,
• Healing, and
• Unity for community members.
Our goal is to promote and restore vitality to the Native Americans in New Mexico. There is a great need for more resources in the First Nations communities. The sheer burden of lack of resources has taken a great toll on the locals and the ensuing poverty and emptiness is apparent. The community is poor and has seen no growth in years, often community members look for a place to turn to for help, finding none.
Services that would be provided at the First Nations Resource Center would include the following:
1. Mentorship
2. Restaurant Academy
3. Internet and computer access hub
4. Entrepreneurship
5. Financial Literacy
6. Fair trade center where community members can merchandise
7. Health and wellness education
8. Employment workshops
