Sexual Health and Responsible Education
A Planned Parenthood Arizona initiative to provide support for educators to positively impact the sexual health of young people. With age-appropriate and medically accurate information, schools can create a brighter future for Arizona youth.
Medical Services
• Medical Care:Planned Parenthood Arizona continues to serve primarily the "working poor;” women and men without access to health care services through their employer; as well as those who place a high value on confidentiality and expertise in sexual and reproductive health. The majority of our sexual health clients are 18 to 30 year old women. We offer a wide range of clinical services; our patient base continues to grow as we continue to offer patient-friendly hours to accommodate this growth. Our centralized call center allows clients to set, change or cancel appointments efficiently. The services we currently offer through our 19 health centers include:
Prescription and non-prescription birth control, including emergency contraception without an examination; Gynecological health exams including screening for cervical cancer using the highest technology available; Screening for breast cancer and discussion and demonstration of breast self-examinations; pregnancy testing; testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections; confidential HIV testing and counseling; medical and surgical abortion; mid-life services including hormone replacement therapy; and maintenance exams and immunizations.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Planned Parenthood Arizona (PPAZ) continues to serve primarily Arizonans who face barriers to care, such as living in medically underserved areas or having low income and/or low or no insurance coverage. PPAZ also serves Arizonans who place a high value on confidentiality and expertise in sexual and reproductive health. Services occur via Telehealth statewide and in Pima County at the Southern Arizona Regional Health Center in Tucson, in Coconino at the Flagstaff Health Center, and in Maricopa County at the Central Phoenix Health Center, the Desert Sky Health Center (Maryvale), the Glendale Health Center, the Mesa Health Center, and the Tempe Regional Health Center.
PPAZ offers a wide range of clinical services including: gynecological health exams, cancer screenings; family planning services including birth control, emergency contraception, vasectomy, intrauterine device insertion/removal; light sedation for some procedures (upon request); pregnancy testing; sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment; confidential HIV testing and counseling; medical and surgical abortion as permitted by law; mid-life services including hormone replacement therapy; senior sexual and reproductive health care; gender affirming care including gender affirming hormone therapy; health maintenance exams; immunizations; and patient navigator and doula services. Our centralized call center allows clients to set, change or cancel appointments efficiently.
