Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Through community giving activities:
We attempt to treat and educate vulnerable populations on oral health issues.
We mobilize volunteers.
We identify and link community dental resources.
We provide educational opportunities for dental professionals.

ADF partners with local charities and schools to host giving events throughout the state-- charitable dentistry programs serving vulnerable populations. Activities include:
Give Kids A Smile
Special Olympics Special Smiles

ADF also serves as Fiscal Sponsor for organizations who respond to a specific issue (Oral Cancer Walk) or serve their community (Tucson Dental Community CARES and Open Wide Open.

ADF hosts continuing education for dental license renewal which also serves as a revenue stream:
o OSHA Toolkit for Dental Offices
o Medical Emergencies in the Dental Office
o Chemical Dependency
o CPR
o Ethics
o Infection Control

Because ADF is imbedded within the Arizona Dental Association, we have access to over 2,500 member dentists as volunteers. This relationship also allows us to reach out to specialists and hygienists. Every year ADF coordinates care for about 1,500 individuals by organizing over 800 volunteers.

ADF is on a mission to strengthen our volunteer base while building donors.
The late 2018 strategic plan focused on engagement. In 2020 we hired an FTE specifically to tract volunteers and donors and communicate to this generous and compassionate corps.
In 2019, ADF received Service Enterprise Institute certification from the Points of Light Foundation and the Arizona Governor's Office. This achievement focuses on volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition.
