Youth Development Programs
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Scottsdale serve school-age youth through a variety of programs including homework assistance, technology centers, teen centers, career exploration, job assistance, sports and recreation, art classes and leadership development. In addition to program development, Boys & Girls Clubs of Scottsdale provide programmatic and executive training for Club professionals nationwide.

1. Grow the Endowment: We will be a source of financial support to ensure Club capacity building and sustainability.
2. Innovate: We will be a strategic partner with Club to explore new ideas and programs that bring joy and educational opportunities.

*Determine what skills/demographics we want on the board. Compare to the existing board. Set recruiting plan. "Wait list"
*Conduct Board Self-Assessment at Annual Board of Trustees Retreat (invite donors) Ensure Board Diversity. Snowbirds++
*Update selection process for chair/ex-committee. Review and update Committee Charters and Objectives
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
This is a 5 year plan. BGCS Foundation 2025 Strategic Framework was recently approved on 10/20/2021but the first year report card has not been completed or submitted at this time.
2021-2022 Fiscal year
*$465K new money added to the endowment
*12 new Barker Legacy members added
*(2) IRA mailings; (1) Wills and (2) Barker Legacy mailings in
*Wills education & BofA invitations for generalized market updates/education
*Innovation fund $7k raised and $3k granted
*Executive Director moved from PT to FT status
*On-going discussion on DEI Initiative
