"It is our desire to educate the community and/or any interested party to the therapeutic value of horse and rider. Be it child or adult, we continue on with education in horsemanship and care of the horse at the level of understanding and physical ability of our riders. We here at Saddles of Joy, Inc. acknowledge the level of success is simply putting the two together, horse and rider, with a positive result. ~Barbara Tomlinson, Founder

Play Day:
Saddles of Joy is open to the public to enjoy the spirit of horses and ranch life on most Saturdays! Come, bring the kids, to visit the ranch and petting farm, have a horseback ride. Wear sturdy shoes!

Saddles of Joy is a therapeutic riding facility that operates solely on hard working volunteers and is funded by donations. Monetary and in-kind donations are always greatly appreciated, as that is how we pay for the needs of our community's very special animals. Play Day lets them be shared with all who support and love them.

Saturday Play Day from 8am-12pm, times are adjusted seasonally. For the safety of horses, volunteers and visitors, we will put the riding horses away when the ambient temperature reaches 95 degrees. Thank you for supporting Saddles of Joy!

It's simple. The only strategy for the facility moving forward is to keep it responsibly kept for people to use it. The way to go is always to maintain it to serve its mission:

Saddles has a small but hard working volunteer board of directors that in it's tenure looking to expand and bring new memb

The organization has been able to create two part-time positions over the last couple of years. One for sustained, reliable and consistent care for the animals. Another to secure a well rounded Executive Director who is qualified to oversee the day to day operations while at the same time directing needs to the board.
